Project Brief
- Suitable for: Experienced or Retired professional

- Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia, mostly office-based with occasional field missions.

- Time commitment: 9am 5 pm Monday to Friday

Deliverables
In this volunteer role, you will be crucial in developing and maintaining a robust CRM database to effectively track student grades, course topics, attendance, and well-being data.
Scout, Design, and Implement Educational CRM Database:
- Research and identify open-source CRM software to track and manage student academic progress and well-being data effectively.
- The system should be online, accessible from multiple locations in real-time, and available in English and a second language.
- Track key data points including Grades in individual courses, Course enrollment and completion history, Attendance records, Academic performance trends, Student well-being data (e.g., physical well-being, height, weight, and other relevant physical parameters).
Data Migration
- Migrating existing student data from Excel spreadsheets to a new, more efficient CRM database.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate online reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student success. These reports will be used for the organization’s annual report and donor reporting.
System Administration:
- Create and manage user access and permissions with different levels for various users.
Project Handover and staff training
- Providing basic user support and training.
Working Environment
- Volunteers will primarily work in an office setting but will also have the opportunity to join occasional field missions, giving them firsthand exposure to the communities they serve.
- The NGO provides a flexible work environment where volunteers can thrive while making a meaningful difference.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in CRM database administration and management.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with educational data management and analysis preferred.
- Experience with data migration techniques (e.g., importing Excel data into databases).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
