The Host Organization

  • You will volunteer for MANAVA, a responsible lifestyle brand in Cambodia.
  • They aim to create and share unique and luxury hand-woven rattan baskets, and home and fashion accessories while empowering and supporting rural artisan Cambodian women with a sustainable future.

Project Brief

  • Suitable for: University students, experienced professionals, or retired professionals
  • Project type: Unpaid volunteer project
  • Location: Siem Reap Cambodia or from home
  • Working Hours: 9 am 5 pm Monday to Friday
  • Duration: Minimum of 3 months
  • Start date: The project is ongoing, and you can join at any time, depending on availability
  • Reports to: Founder and Director

Deliverables

As a Business Development Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of MANAVA.

  • Identify and target potential clients and business opportunities within the wholesale (B2B) sector through networking and online research.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build a deep understanding of our products and present them effectively to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Present and promote the company’s products/services to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM database.
  • Provide regular feedback and reports on sales performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or a related field
  • Experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, in the wholesale B2B industry
  • Strong understanding of B2B market dynamics and customer needs
  • Excellent English communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • A passion for sustainable fashion and social impact initiatives
